(“BetterWorks” or the “Company”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit the Company’s Web sites (“Visitors”), individuals who register to use the Services as defined below (“Customers”), and individuals who register to attend the Company’s corporate events (“Attendees”). This Privacy Notice describes BetterWorks’ privacy practices as they pertain to the use of the Company’s Web sites and the related applications, services, or events offered by or related to BetterWorks, (together the “Services”). In this Notice, the terms “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to BetterWorks.
BetterWorks is a business software solution that allows for rapid iteration on management strategy and execution using goal setting and progress tracking methodologies.

When you create an account on the Website, we collect and store information about you including, your name, title, email address, and password (“Personal Information”). We use this information to setup your account, and to allow administration and communication with you regarding your account. We may also use your email address to send you updates and to provide services to you in connection with the BetterWorks product or related services. At any time, you can change your account information and notification settings on your profile page when you are logged into the Product.
Once you are logged in to use the Product, we collect and store information that you submit through the Website, for your use of the Product and for your disclosure to other users in your organization as part of the Product (“Purpose”). You acknowledge and agree we may collect and disclose Personal Information to facilitate the Purpose. While in some cases you can make certain information private, most information is public by default to other users inside your company using the Product. Any Personal Information that is provided to us is stored securely, and used and disclosed only in accordance with this Notice and the BetterWorks Terms and Conditions. BetterWorks is not responsible for the information you disclose while using the Product.
When you register for or attend a corporate event, BetterWorks will ask you to provide basic Attendee contact information, including your name, company, title, and email address. We use this information to adequately register you for the event, as well as send you updates leading up to and following the event. Every marketing email you receive from us will have instructions on how to update your contact information or manage your communication settings, including the option to opt-out of further marketing emails.
BetterWorks may collect and use technical data and related information — including but not limited to, technical information about your device, system, application software, and peripherals — to facilitate the provision of software updates, product support, and to allow us continuously make improvements to our products, services, or technologies we offer to you. We do not use any Personal Information while generating this information, nor do we relate any of this information to an individual member or user. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you acknowledge and agree we may use Personal Information for all purposes identified in, or ancillary to the arrangements outlined in the BetterWorks Terms and Conditions.
When you use our Product, a cookie may be placed within the memory of your internet access device. A cookie is a small piece of information that a website can store via your internet access device for later retrieval. We may use permanent cookies or server-side constructs to help us track use of our services by users — such as the number and frequency of visits to our pages and which parts of our product are visited.
We will not sell, license, trade or rent your Personal Information. BetterWorks will not otherwise disclose your Personal Information except as described within this Notice and within the BetterWorks Terms and Conditions. We may share Personal Information with agents, contractors or partners of BetterWorks in connection with services that these individuals or entities perform for, or with, us, provided that these agents, contractors or partners are restricted from using said information in any way other than to provide services for BetterWorks. We may share Personal Information with third-party service providers (e.g., email service providers, data storage and processing facilities) in order for those service providers to perform business functions for us or on our behalf. We may also disclose the information we receive; if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process or response to a government request. In addition, aggregate Personal Information and other data, may be disclosed in connection with any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of company assets, or other business transaction in which data could be transferred to third parties as one of our business assets.
You can view and update the Personal Information you provide to us by accessing the profile feature of the Product, or you can update it by sending an email to email@example.com, or using the “feedback” button available in the Product.
BetterWorks has established a privacy program designed to help respect and protect your data privacy rights. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards intended to protect against the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of Personal Information. Although we take such precautions seriously, it is impossible for us or others to guarantee the safety and security of Personal Information. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information.
BetterWorks complies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland. BetterWorks has certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement.
